Chops Louse

The South African chops louse is about 0,4 mm long, it's brown and hairy with characteristic chops from which it has got it's name, as may be seen from the pictures above. On the head, there are ten corneous outgrowths.

Chops Louse, 200 times enlargedFor centuries, the chops louse has lead a peaceful and quiet life, and it has been considered harmless. Due to the cool climate of Europe, the louse has not flourished here. During recent years, however, the louse has adobted to european climate, probably through mutations due to increase in pollution. Today, the chops louse has become a serious threat to human health in several european countries due to a parasite called Cov-cov. This parasite follows the chops louse and causes covetousness.

The danger of an increased stock of chops louse in Scandinavia is the mutations caused by artificial food additives. The Y124 mutation appears to cause the plow elk to shed its antlers earlier than normal. Large amounts of plow elk antlers has been found along the roads in northern Sweden as early as in the beginning of March.

The danger of serious chops louse attacks in Norway is fairly small, as we have a large stock of land flounder. This special species is, except from the pant tinkler, the only natural enemy of the chops louse, and this might become an important export in the near future.

Could the chops louse be the beast in Revelation?

Many people believes that the chops louse must be the beast mentioned in the Revelation in the Bible. Professor of Theology, dr. T. Alkson Lynonsense recently held a lecture on the topic, from which you may read an extract here.
