Slope Badger

The slope badger lives in slopes along the roads of northern Sweden and Finland, and is rarely observed in Norwegian parts. The badger is very well adapted to the life in slopes, having shorter legs on one side, and longer legs on the other. This way, the badger may always keep its balance, even in very steep slopes.

Picture of slant badger As the slope badger can only walk one way, it is very rare, as it only once in a while meets an individual of the opposite sex.

The slope badger lives mainly by land flounder which it finds along northern air fields in the summer. There are seldom slopes at these air fields, hence the badger must make it on very small quantities of food.

The hunting season lasts from april 7. to Easter Monday. If Easter Monday is before april 7., the hunting season will last almost a year, ending on Easter Monday a year later.
