Welcome to Sverre's photo album

Here, you will find a more or less rich choice of my pictures during the last decades.

Most of the pictures are about 20-40 Kb in size, and there are 3-7 pictures per page, which should give an idea of the download times.

I've scanned the sharpest pictures myself, the others have been delivered on diskette. (PhotoScreen from Japan Photo in Oslo).

Currently, I'm using a Canon Ixus Z-90 camera. It's a medium sized APS camera with a good zoom. I've been using it since 1998 and I'm quiet happy with it. The pictures are nice and sharp, and I can take real close photos with it. The only things I miss is the possibility of inserting a partly exposed film, something that can be done with more expensive cameras; as well as the option of presetting the flash to be either on or off when I turn the camera on.

Before the Ixus I used a Nikon AF600, but it was broken after the journey to India, probably by some salt water or grain of sand. It was small and handy and took nice pictures.

Earlier, I used a Ricoh AF5, which I actually liked better. But I've dropped it to the floor a couple of times, and it's not to be trusted anymore. After a missionary trip to Lithuania with Oslo Kristne Senter in 1994 it was broken. But it was only a loose wire, so I was able to repair it, and it's a nice spare.

I take about 500-600 pictures a year, and I put information about them all into a Microsoft Access database.
